He said she denied having any plan or desire to act on them.

Clancy, 35, admits killing five-year-old Cora, three-year-old Dawson and eight-month-old Callan at the family’s Duxbury home on January 24, 2023.

She strangled the children with exercise bands while Patrick was collecting medicine and takeout before attempting to take her own life.

Clancy was left paralyzed from the waist down after cutting herself and jumping from a second-floor window.

Her lawyers argue that severe postpartum mental illness meant she was not criminally responsible for the killings.

They claim her condition was aggravated by sleep deprivation and the complex succession of antidepressants, sedatives, anti-anxiety drugs and antipsychotics she had been prescribed.

Prosecutors say the former labor and delivery nurse deliberately sent Patrick away to create the time and privacy needed to murder the children.

Defense attorney Kevin Reddington used the diary to show jurors that Clancy closely monitored her prescriptions and documented her declining condition.

Patrick told the court that she took her medication as instructed after first being prescribed Zoloft.
