Drivers will have 18 months from the limited warranty extension’s start date of May 1 to do so, and will also apply to vehicles that already had hood work done prior to May 1.
These expenses include parts and labor for the hood repair itself, as well as any rental car expenses owners paid while their Outlander was being worked on.
Outlander owners can check if they’re eligible to submit a claim by looking up their car’s VIN on the settlement website.
These documents can be repair invoices, bank statements, receipts, and/or other documentation showing the expenses incurred as a result of the hood defect.
The final hearing for the settlement is scheduled for Monday, with payouts to be distributed once this final hearing concludes.
