Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis – also known as motor neuron disease – is a fatal and slow-moving disease.
It leads to the loss of voluntary muscle control, speech, and eventually breathing.
Johnson, 40, a former running back for the Tennessee Titans, revealed his diagnosis to Strahan on Good Morning America last month.
