THE opening date for a new Buc-ee’s travel center is drawing closer, and officials have confirmed a major update.

At least 17 states will welcome new locations from the popular chain in the coming months, with more than a dozen set to break ground in 2026.

Consumers in Ruston, Louisiana, located about 69 miles east of Shreveport, are on the edge of their seats waiting for the state’s very first Buc-ee’s.

It’s expected to open to the public sometime in the spring of 2027.

Locals shared their excitement on social media, with one person commenting, “I am so excited!”

Another said, “Dang, 2007? I’m ready now!”

Ruston officials released photos of the early construction process in May, promising “new jobs, visitors, and opportunities” in the city.
