A sweeping effort to root out fraud across the federal government is producing, the Trump administration says, staggering results.
Vice President JD Vance said Friday that the Trump administration’s Task Force to Eliminate Fraud has identified approximately $230 billion in alleged fraud against the federal government and has prevented roughly $56 billion in fraudulent payments from being issued.
The latest update came during a high-profile gathering of senior administration officials, where new figures were released, and additional enforcement actions were announced.
