According to court documents and police accounts, Stein allegedly grabbed an approaching officer’s bicycle, causing it to strike a second officer—identified as Officer Moore—in the forearm.

While Moore held the bike aloft, Stein is accused of kicking him multiple times in the right leg near the groin.

The officer later sought medical treatment and was diagnosed with a strained left forearm and leg, plus testicular contusions.

Stein’s campaign manager and deputy were also among those arrested.

St. Louis Associate Circuit Judge Karma Johnson issued the failure-to-appear warrant after neither Stein nor her attorney, Joseph Welch, appeared for the scheduled 9 a.m. hearing.

The court order had explicitly required all parties and counsel to appear in person.

Prosecutors were present and noted they were not requesting a warrant, but Johnson proceeded anyway, ordering Stein arrested and held without bond.
