A St. Louis judge issued an arrest warrant Monday for perennial Green Party presidential candidate Jill Stein after she failed to appear in court on misdemeanor charges stemming from her alleged assault on a police officer during a chaotic 2024 anti-Israel protest at Washington University.
Stein, 76, the Green Party nominee in 2012, 2016, and 2024, faces one count of first-degree trespassing and one count of fourth-degree assault.
The charges arise from an April 27, 2024, demonstration where protesters marched onto the university’s Danforth Campus, set up tents, and locked arms while shouting “Hold the line” after police issued dispersal warnings.
