Trump, by the way, hasn’t endorsed anyone yet, either He has even embraced a nickname given to him by the media: the “Secretary of Everything,” which in and of itself is remarkable given that Trump could have been handing off at least some of these assignments to his VP. Rubio has frequently taken on roles beyond that of Secretary of State, including positions such as acting administrator of USAID, acting archivist of the United States, and acting national security adviser early in the second Trump administration.
He has leaned into the joke consistently and, on Tuesday, filled in for White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt, who is currently on maternity leave.
