This revelation comes as Omar refuses to appear before a Minnesota legislative committee to answer questions related to these fraud discoveries: The renewed attention comes after Omar did not appear at a recent hearing held by Minnesota’s Fraud Prevention Committee examining the scandal. Following her absence, committee chair Kristin Robbins sent Omar a letter requesting documents and correspondence tied to the case.
