On Friday, the Alabama legislature is expected to vote on reinstating maps that district courts have held up since 2021. Additionally, part of their voting will address the implementation of a winner-take-all primary, which aims to save time and money on special elections.

Supreme Court’s ruling striking down race-based congressional districts, all of which benefitted Democrats, and the 2030 Census, which will see high tax-heavily regulated blue states lose congressional seats to red states, you can see how Democrats are looking at decades in the political wilderness.

One thing: This is all beautiful to see, by the way. Democrats fought for the gerrymanders in their states years ago, and won.
