Democrats Just Accidentally Admitted Illegal Aliens Are Getting Medicaid — With a Single Letter to HHS

This is not complicated. Either illegal aliens are enrolled in Medicaid — in which case Democrats lied every time they said otherwise — or they aren’t, in which case there’s no ICE-relevant data in the Medicaid system to worry about. Democrats cannot hold both positions simultaneously. They’ve been trying to for years, and the letter to HHS is the document that finally makes it impossible.

The broader pattern is worth naming. Democrats oppose every verification requirement that would prevent illegal aliens from accessing federal programs. They oppose photo ID for voting. They oppose cross-checking voter rolls against immigration databases. They oppose Medicaid data sharing with ICE. They’ve consistently positioned themselves on the side of reducing every mechanism that could detect illegal access to American systems — while simultaneously insisting that illegal access isn’t happening.
