Top Dem Reveals What Va. Redistricting Is REALLY About, And It’s Not ‘Fair Maps’

A couple of days ago, former President Barack Obama urged Virginia voters to support a controversial redistricting plan that many believe would disenfranchise nearly half of the state’s Republican voters. He framed the proposal as an issue of fairness and “leveling the playing field.” However, that’s a big fat lie, as Democratic Sen. Tim Kaine from Virginia has acknowledged. The true motivation behind this push is not about fairness but rather a resistance to President Trump.

Trump will try to interfere? The gall. Democrats have literally been ‘interferring’

“90 percent of Virginians aren’t Democrats, that’s true,” Kaine said, “but about 100 percent of Virginians want election results to be respected. We’re deeply worried that Donald Trump will try to interfere with the election results this November or in 2028, cause we saw him do it before.”

Trump will try to interfere? The gall. Democrats have literally been ‘interferring’ with, as in stealing, congressional seats (and the 2020 election – they did, sorry, it’s just true) for years. And Trump rightfully questioned those results, but you know what? Joe Biden became president; Trump didn’t ‘interfere’ with that.

Also, let’s be clear: Trump won a sizeable electoral college majority and the popular vote majority; sounds like democracy to me. Meanwhile, nary a Democrat has respected his victory.
